Kanha Jungle Lodge is ideally placed for exploring the national park and tiger reserve, with the entrance just a kilometre away. The lodge is part of the Tiger Resort group, which includes Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge, and is managed by a committed and enthusiastic naturalist and has guides of the highest quality.

The accommodation at Kanha Jungle Lodge is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, and an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water. All rooms have access to outside seating areas with views of the forest.

The focus of your stay is the national park. Safaris take place twice a day, in the early morning and late afternoon, in open-sided jeeps accompanied by a naturalist guide from the lodge. Kanha has varied terrain including large areas of sal and bamboo forest, as well as open meadows. Tigers are the main attraction, the largest of the big cats is a prized sighting and one to be treasured. Other wildlife frequently seen includes sloth bear, jackal, hyena, gaur and several species of deer including the Barasingha (swamp deer), which at one stage faced extinction but now thrives in Kanha. It is also possible to take an elephant-back safari, subject to availability as deemed by the park authorities.

The middle part of the day is spent unwinding at the lodge, enjoying the company of fellow guests. During your stay you also have time to walk in the lodge's grounds with a guide spotting birds, butterflies, monkeys and flying squirrels and maybe seeing elephants by the river. Lodge staff arrange various activities such as cookery classes and you can take a trip to the local community to see village houses and scenes of everyday life. Breakfast, usually served during your morning game drive, lunch and dinner are included in your stay with a choice of Indian and international dishes.
