A lovely well kept and decorated hotel. Exceptionally clean with all fixture and fittings to a high standard. The complementary drinks in the mini bar and the tea and coffee were most welcome. The breakfast selection and quality was superb in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately the dinner menu was not to our taste. The lodge location was perfect for the falls and for the town. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lodge, lovely restaurant and pool area. Rooms had their own patio. Staff were super helpful, and we booked our excursions through the front desk.

Very good indeed. Excellent rooms and generally good service and facilities. The service in the restaurant left a bit to be desired but the food was very good. We visited and had a meal at the Victoria Falls Hotel, which seemed very good and in an unparallelled location.

Lovely lodge, with a view of the spray, and sound of Victoria Falls. Closest lodge to the Falls - only a ten minute walk. Try the braised kudu steak - delicious.

ok rooms. Service was poor , both in the restaurant and bars, so after a poor service experience (food was good though and good breakfasts) We ate out of the hotel on the other 2 nights. Location good, would need to think about staying there if we ever were in Victoria falls again

The Ilala lodge is a superb hotel, with all the facilities to be expected. Staff were cheerful and helpful, the food excellent. Although advertised as being convenient for the Victoria Falls I would recommend taking an organised guided tour for the extra information and insight that this provides.

The location is perfect for the falls. The decor is very traditional and colonial and maintained very well. The food was excellent and so were the staff. I have stayed at Vic falls hotel but much preferred my stay here. Highly recommend

A more understated place than some of the hotels we saw at Vic Falls but the better for that. The French doors from our rooms opened onto an area where mongeese and warthogs visited. Too much food in the portions! And the least good of the food we had - perhaps it tried too hard- and service was very slow. Very nice helpful staff and a good stay.

Very well located at the bottom of Vic Falls town, next to banks, shops, other facilities and hotels and a short walk to the Falls themselves. A very nice hotel and our room was large and very well appointed. There is a nice pool and bar area. A large and very good resturant with extensive out side dining. There is a large extension being built ( while we were there ) so new rooms will soon be available. A very good location and base for Vic Falls. We took a sunset cruise from here which was very good, and an evening game drive and 'bush dinner' which was excellent and got us our best Black Rhino viewing.

Excellent facilities in the rooms, which were comfortable and spacious. A lovely swimming pool and attractive grounds, also visited by warthogs (just passing through, not in any way a nuisance - the swimming pool was at a higher level). Interesting prints on the walls everywhere and beautiful flower arrangements. A good restaurant and an easy walk to the shops and to the Falls - $30 admission charge to the Falls.

A great hotel about as close to the Falls as you can get but it is still a walk. Food was excellent and the tourist site booking service first class - we were up in a helicopter 45 minutes after enquiring! The room was extremely comfortable with all the facilities you need including tea making but bring your own tea bags for a decent cup. A lovely relaxing place to end a wonderful safari.
