Location: Hotel Pantanal Norte is located in the northern Pantanal at the end of the Transpantaneira on the banks of the Cuiaba River, 245kms from Cuiaba, about a 5 hour drive.
Rooms: There are 28 apartments in groups of 2, all with air conditioning, TV, minibar and en-suite bathroom. They have shared verandas and hammocks.
Activities: Boat trips on the Cuiaba River looking for jaguars, guided walks, bird watching, night drives looking for wildlife, visits to local families living by the Cuiaba River.
Facilities: There is an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel gardens attract a variety of birds including Hyacinth macaws and there is a lake with waterlilies. The restaurant serves home-made regional dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a TV room, a games room with 2 pool tables, an internet room, souvenir shop and a conference hall. The hotel offers a laundry service.
Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Health: Malarial prophylactics are recommended for the Pantanal.
Communication: There is internet access, to be paid for locally.
