Open: Hotel Capitán Suizo is open from November 1st to September 15th

Location: The hotel is situated on Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Its 1.5-hours from Liberia Airport and 5-hours from San Jose. It’s a 30-minute drive from Las Baulas Marine National Park and just a 15-minute walk from the bustling town of Tamarind

Rooms: Located at the end of the beautiful Tamarindo beach, Capitan Suizo has 8 thatched-roof bungalows and 22 standard rooms, which open onto tropical gardens. All classes of accommodation are decorated in similar style with terracotta tile or polished concrete flooring, locally made teakwood furnishings, and framed photographs that depict the history of Costa Rica.

Activities: During the season there are Turtle tours. You can also take guided boat tours of the estuary, enjoy a horse ride, go on a canopy tour or a quad bike tour. If you wish there is snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing trips as well as tours to the nearby national parks.

Facilities: The hotel has a beachfront restaurant and a sunset bar. There is swimming, kayaking, surfing and boogie boarding. There’s also an open-air spa, gift shop, babysitting, fitness centre and laundry service.

Dining: A complimentary hot/cold buffet breakfast is served each morning between 7 am. and 10:30 am, and there is a complimentary manager's reception is offered each day.  El Barco is the beachfront restaurant specialising in international cuisine and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can order drinks at the bar and enjoy al fresco dining (weather permitting). A children's menu is available. Reservations are required. Room service (during limited hours) is available.

Children: Children are welcome.  There is a babysitting service.  The restaurant has children’s menus.  Some superior rooms have inter-connecting doors for families, bungalows have a queen size futon.

Health: Other than the province of Limon, Costa Rica has low to no risk of malaria.

Communication: There is complimentary WiFi in all rooms as well as internet service in the business centre in the reception area.
