The Red Canal Hotel is a small hotel offering comfortable accommodation and high levels of service in Mandalay. The decor features traditional materials such as teak, rattan, marble and mother of pearl. There are four types of room, each named after one of Burma's major ethnic groups and drawing design inspiration from that culture. All rooms are en-suite and have either a balcony or patio for quiet relaxation. They are all air conditioned and have satellite TV, internet access and tea and coffee making facilities.

The Spice Garden restaurant specialises in tasty North Indian cuisine and also offers international dishes. The main dining area is a large, high-ceillinged room with full length windows and there's an outdoor terrace. Cookery classes with the chef can be arranged for those wanting to pick up some culinary tips and skills. There's also a small bar.
