Location: The hotel is on the shore of Lake Llanquihue in the Lake District. It is a 20 minute drive from the town of Puerto Varas. The nearest airport is Puerto Montt, about an hour away.

Rooms: There are 15 rooms made up of 11 superior rooms (46sqm) and 4 suites (75sqm). There are twins and doubles. All have a floor to ceiling window overlooking the lake, TV, complimentary wifi, minibar, air conditioning, fireplace, safe and en-suite bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi bath. Suites also have a sitting room with a sofa bed.

Activities: The hotel's guides offer a range of excursions and activities from which you can choose those that best suit you. These include hiking, kayaking, rafting, fly fishing, bird watching, cultural visits to local communities and trips to archaeological sites. These can be booked and paid for locally, unless you are staying on the all-inclusive option in which case they are included and are booked as private, rather than shared, excursions. The hotel has bikes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for guest use. Scenic flights by light aircraft and helicopters can be arranged at extra charge.

Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant (see below), bar, lots of sitting areas, books to browse through and gardens. The organic garden includes herbs, vegetables, fruit trees plus local shrubs and trees. There are plans to install bee hives and introduce free range hens. The hotel spa comprises an indoor heated lap pool, deck with loungers, sauna, steam room, hydro-massage pool and massage room. Yoga sessions can be arranged. There is a small gym.

Dining: Cuisine draws on traditional recipes, and many of the ingredients used are grown in the hotel's organic garden. Menus are changed regularly. Breakfast is a buffet, and there is a large choice of Chilean wine to accompany dinner.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome, but there are no specific facilities or activities for children.

Health: There is no malaria in Chile.

Communication: There is complimentary wifi internet access in guest rooms.
