Open:  Fort House Hotel is open all year.  

Location:  Fort House Hotel is located on the waterfront at Fort Cochin and has its own jetty. It is within walking distance of many of the town's heritage monuments. The hotel is about 25 kms from the airport, about a 30-minute drive.  

Rooms:  There are 16 rooms, all with en-suite shower room. 13 rooms are in the new wing and the others are in the old building. They are all air conditioned. Rooms are built around the courtyard and have shared verandas.   

Activities:  Sightseeing in Fort Cochin. Attractions near the hotel include the Dutch Palace, the old Jewish synagogue and St Francis church. There is a popular antique market nearby at Mattancherry. Staff are happy to advise on and arrange local excursions.

Facilities:   The restaurant is located by the waterfront and serves local seafood as well as continental cuisine. Breakfast includes eggs, toast, fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Meals can be enjoyed outside on the terrace. There is an Ayurveda treatment centre offering a range of therapeutic treatments on site. The courtyard garden is surprisingly peaceful given its proximity to the busy waterfront. The flowers attract lots of birds.

Dining:   Meals are eaten at individual tables.

Children:  Children are welcome.

Health:  We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to India.

Communication:  There is WiFi internet access at reception.
