Open: Fishtail Lodge is open all year.

Location: Fishtail Lodge has a peaceful setting on a peninsula in Phewa Lake in Pokhara. The final part of the journey from the main part of town to the lodge is by hand-pulled rope ferry. The hotel is about 5kms from the airport.

Rooms: There are 48 standard rooms and 12 deluxe rooms. Rooms are located in round cottages set in a lush garden. They have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. All rooms are air conditioned and have TV, ‘phone and ‘fridge. They have views of the lake, mountains or gardens. Deluxe rooms have private balconies.

Activities: There are many activities on offer in and around Pokhara’s lake and mountains. Guests can go hiking, horse riding, bird watching with the hotel’s resident guide, boating on the lake, fishing, play golf and enjoy leisurely lakeside strolls. For the more adventurous there are opportunities for paragliding and micro lighting. They can also relax in the hotel’s grounds and enjoy a swim in the pool.

Facilities: The restaurant, with its large open fireplace, and bar are housed in 5 round buildings. The hotel offers Nepali, Chinese, Indian and continental cuisines. There are attractive gardens, an outdoor swimming pool and a children’s pool. There is a small spa. Other facilities include a currency exchange, travel desk, safe and laundry service.

Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There is a children’s pool.

Health: Pokhara is not a malarial area.

Communication: There is WiFi internet access at reception, to be paid for locally.
