Barranco Alto is located 175 miles North West of Campo Grande and is reached by a 55 minute light aircraft flight.

The fazenda is a traditional low impact extensive cattle ranch with 4 ensuite guest rooms with air conditioning and private verandas. The fazenda is managed along sustainable principles, with all non-organic waste reused or recycled and organic waste composted. The cost of a stay at this fazenda is high because of the transportation costs but the remoteness of the location and the limited number of rooms make for an intimate Pantanal experience.
