Explora Rapa Nui is just a short drive from the airport, so soon after landing you can be relaxing and enjoying your new surroundings on Easter Island. The building is an impressive piece of architecture, and has made use of recycled materials, and hugs the hillside that leads down to the ocean. From within the large windows enable you to take in the magnificent views.

While here you are encouraged to explore the island in all its facets, admiring its scenery and learning about its history and culture. Each day you select your choice of the 30 plus half and full-day excursions which range in levels of difficulty and include hiking, biking, boat rides and snorkelling. The hotel has a well trained team of guides who lead each activity, their knowledge and enthusiasm adds to your enjoyment.

Spacious rooms and suites have picture windows so you can enjoy ocean views from dawn to dusk. Each has a modern en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, though the clever use of natural air flow minimises the need for the latter.

When not out exploring you can socialise with other guests in the lounge and bar, enjoy a swim in the pool and ease any tired muscles and limbs in the jacuzzi or with a massage. In line with Explora’s culinary philosophy, the hotel uses fresh local produce to create light and healthy meals that set you up perfectly for the activities ahead.
