Explora Patagonia is situated in a prime location inside Torres del Paine National Park, one of the few properties within the park. It is set in front of a beautiful glacier lake whose deep turquoise water contrasts with the rugged snowy peaks of the mountains beyond.

The main purpose of your visit is to get outside and enjoy this remote and beautiful region. Guides are on hand at the hotel to talk you through the wide choice of daily excursions, explaining the degree of fitness required for each to simplify your choice. You explore in small groups led by a guide, travelling on foot, by van and on horseback, for which the hotel has its stable of steeds. When you want a more leisurely option you can enjoy a cruise on Lake Pehoe on the hotel's own catamaran. If you select a full day trip you'll enjoy lunch en-route, while half day excursions allow you time to return to Explora in the middle of the day.

Back at the hotel you can take advantage of the spa facilities to treat your body to a soothing massage, a cleansing sauna or a soak in the jacuzzi. Refreshed you can head to Explores Bar to chat to fellow guests and maybe pick up some ideas for the next day's adventures. The cuisine here is flavourful and based on local produce, accompanied by fine Chilean wine, eaten as you enjoy views of the lake.
