Location: The hotel is in Kamalapura Palace just 4 kms from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi, a remnant of the Vijayanagara Empire. The nearest airports are at Hubli 205 kms away, about a 4.5-hour drive, Bangalore 370 kms, a 6-hour drive, Goa 380 kms and 6-hours and Hyderabad 400 kms and 7.5-hours.

Rooms: There are 46 suites and villas, all with sleeping, dining and living areas, an en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower, and terrace with Jacuzzi. The suites are all situated in the main palace building. Niavasa deluxe suites cover 88sqm, Nilaya terrace suites occupy 127sqm and Zenana palace suites have 148sqm of space. Jal Mahal are individual private pool villas with a bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, a separate open air shower, living and dining areas, a garden with a pool, Jacuzzi, gazebo and courtyards.

Activities: The main attraction is the site of Hampi, and Evolve Back offers guided walking tours specialising in architecture, mythology, philosophy and art to help you understand Hampi's significance.

Facilities: There are 2 restaurants (see below), a reading lounge, relaxation lounge, bar and souvenir shop. The hotel has a family pool and an infinity pool for adults over 18 years, a fitness centre and Vaidyasala spa.

Dining: Tuluva serves a range of cuisines and is located by the infinity pool. Bahmani offers local dishes that draw on Indian and Persian influences. Meals are eaten at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There are special activities for youngsters.

Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics for travel to India.
