  • Relax in the tented lounge
  • Tasty home-cooked food
  • Special sundowner sites
  • Visit a Massai homestead

Open: Entim Mara Camp is open all year.

Location: The lodge is in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, near the Mara River and a short drive from the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers. The nearest airstrip is Ol Kiombo, a 25-minute drive away.

Rooms: There are 12 large guest tents, spaced well apart and facing the Mara River. All are en-suite with a hot water shower, hand basin and flush toilet. The tents have gauze windows along both sides and the flap at the front can be fully opened leading out to the private deck. Interiors have wooden furniture, armchairs and wildlife prints. Maasai watchmen (askaris) escort you between your tent and the main area after dark, to ensure safety.

Activities: Game drives in sturdy 4x4 vehicles are the main focus. These vary in duration and include refreshments. Longer drives may include a picnic lunch. During the annual wildebeest migration, usually from July to October, the game passes close by and can often be seen from the camp, even from your private tent deck. Your driver-guide plans the game viewing each day, based on wildlife sightings and local conditions. Bush breakfasts and sundowners served in a variety of locations near the camp and at the top of a nearby hill add to the variety. Visits to a Maasai homestead can be arranged. Entim Mara offers specialist photographic safaris and workshops, subject to availability, and you can download and edit phoots in the iMac Photo Studios on site.

Facilities: The lounge contains a small library of reference books, and plenty of comfy seating and coffee tables. It is decorated with wildlife paintings. The dining area and bar is an open-fronted tent overlooking the river. There is a deck to the front with chairs and canvas canopies providing shade.

Dining: Meals are served in the shaded dining area, usually at individual tables. Private dining on your veranda can be arranged. All meals, soft drinks, bottled water, beer, house wines and non-luxury spirits are included in your stay.

Children: Children aged eight years and over are welcome.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There free Wi-Fi internet access.

Client Rating for Kenya 5/5 from 58 reviews

It’s a shame we can’t put above excellent!! This place was the cherry on the cake when it comes to accommodation. 5 star glamping!! So very comfortable and clean. The decor was very inkeeping but so very well thought out! The complimentary sweets, nuts and wine were a very nice touch. Our view of the river was stunning. Hearing the hippos at night was just amazing and they sounded so close!! The staff made us feel very safe despite the wildlife and Ben one of the Maasai guys took us down during the day to the river to tell us about the hippos, crocs, baboons and birds. He was very knowledgeable. We just loved this place with a passion. The food was above excellent too and to not have to think about paying for drinks was a real added bonus.
