Entim, meaning 'forest' in Maasai, is hidden away in the riverine woodlands running along the Mara River in the Mara Game Reserve. There are only 12 tented rooms giving the camp a wonderfully quiet and intimate feeling.
Each tent is tastefully furnished, with chunky wooden bedsteads and storage chests and attractive wildlife prints. They are traditional canvas walk-in tents with gauze windows admitting natural light. All tents face the river and open on to a private veranda where you can relax, enjoy the view and watch wildlife by the river. Each one has an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet, hand basin and a hot shower.
The camp has a cosy, open-fronted lounge tent with ample seating and a small library. The dining tent is also open allowing you to ejoy meals while watching the animals heading to the river to drink. The bar is located here, and meals can be complimented by the drink of your choice. The deck to the front has canvas awnings that provide welcome shade during the day, where you can rest between game drives.
The camp is designed to give guests the feel that it is part of the landscape, combined with hints of luxury. Staying at Entim Mara is all about being right in the hub of one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world. Game drives take you into the heart of the action, enabling you to observe the full range of wildlife at your leisure and with the help of your expert guide. If you're here between July and October you have the added bonus of the annual migration, one of nature's most impressive spectacles. There's an opportunity to learn about the Maasai way of life, too, on a visit to local homestaed with a Maasai guide from the camp.

Client Rating for Kenya 5/5 from 58 reviews
It’s a shame we can’t put above excellent!! This place was the cherry on the cake when it comes to accommodation. 5 star glamping!! So very comfortable and clean. The decor was very inkeeping but so very well thought out! The complimentary sweets, nuts and wine were a very nice touch. Our view of the river was stunning. Hearing the hippos at night was just amazing and they sounded so close!! The staff made us feel very safe despite the wildlife and Ben one of the Maasai guys took us down during the day to the river to tell us about the hippos, crocs, baboons and birds. He was very knowledgeable. We just loved this place with a passion. The food was above excellent too and to not have to think about paying for drinks was a real added bonus.
