Open: Encounter by Ongava is open all year.

Location: The camp is in woodland in Ongava Game Reserve bordering Etosha National Park.

Rooms: There are 8 tents made up of 7 double and 1 family unit consisting of 2 tents with a shared deck that sleeps up to 4 people. These are traditional walk-in safari tents. All are en-suite with flush toilet, his and hers basins, indoor and outdoor showers. Double doors from the bedroom open onto a private deck. Each tent is equipped with a safe and is cooled by a fan.

Activities: Morning and afternoon 4x4 drives in Ongava game Reserve and Etosha National Park, guided nature walks, bird watching, and rhino tracking. Facilities: The central building houses the lounge, bar and dining room. It looks our over a viewing deck, camp fire and waterhole. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. The gift shop stocks a range of goods.

Dining: Meals are usually eaten together as a group in the dining room and on the deck.

Children: Children aged 6 years and older are welcome. Children under the age of 17 must share accommodation with at least 1 adult. Families with children aged between 6 and 12 must book a private safari vehicle.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is internet access but it is sporadic and cannot be relied upon. There is no mobile phone reception.
