Open: Elephant's Eye is open all year. 

Location: In a private reserve bordering Hwange National Park. The reserve covers 56sqkm and is on Forestry Commission land. 

Rooms: There are 8 tented chalets each built on stilts with a thatch roof. Rooms are large and all are en-suite with a bath, twin hand basins and an outdoor shower. Each has a private elevated deck that overlooks the waterhole. Rooms are cooled by fans.

Facilities: The reception, comfy lounge, main dining area and bar are on the ground floor of the main building with the viewing deck whch has a telescope, above. This main area leads out to the swimming pool, main deck and firepit. There is a simple on-site spa offering a range of relaxing treatments. There is a sleep-out deck, The Eye, a short drive away.

Activities:  Game drives are offered in the private concession and also in the main areas of the park. Night drives and guided walks are offered in the private reserve. Sleep outs can be arranged, in an area about 15 minutes drive from the lodge.

Dining: Meals are served communally in the main dining area. Private dining can be arranged.

Children: Children 7 and over are welcome at Elephant's Eye.

Health: This is a malarial area. 

Communication: There is WiFi internet access in the main area and is some rooms nearby, and a mobile signal is available throughout the lodge.

Very nice and comfortable even though it was a tadge cold at 2 degrees at night due to an abnormal cold snap!!!! The hot water bottles were a real treat.
