Open:  Desert Homestead Lodge is open year-round.

Location:  Situated on a private reserve, 30km from the Sesriem entrance to Namib-Naukluft National Park.

Rooms:  The row of 20 chalets are connected to the main area by sandy pathways. The en-suite bathrooms have showers, basins and toilets. The beds have mosquito nets and there is also a ceiling fan.

Activities:  Horseriding is a real focus here and the sunrise ride is great fun.  They also offer guided nature walks and game drives into the park and to the Sossusvlei dunes. If you wish ballooning and quad biking can be arranged via a third party,

Facilities:   There main building has a high thatched roof and houses a cosy lounge and dining area. Dining also takes place outside on the large deck in warmer months.  There is a refreshing pool with loungers.

Dining:  Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome at Desert Homestead Lodge.

Health:  This is a malaria area.

Communication:  There is a mobile signal at the lodge and there is also a telephone at reception.
