Desert Homestead Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. Throw helpful and accommodating staff and good food into the mix, what more could you ask for?  The panoramic views are equally impressive from the main house, the bar, the pool or your chalet. This is an area of immense beauty and big skies. This is a great base for exploring the Sesriem area, visiting the Sossusvlei dunes and the Sesriem area, though it's further away (30kms) from the Sesriem gate of the Namib-Naukluft National Park than some other camps.

Built in a private nature reserve, the homestead has power and hot water all generated by solar power.  The main area houses the lounge and dining room under a high thatch roof.  Warm fires and comfy sofas are welcoming in the cooler winter months, and in summer al-fresco dining is offered and there is a pool with loungers sheltered beneath a rocky outcrop.

There are 20 chalets offering accommodation.  Each has its own private veranda with chairs so you can enjoy the spectacular views under a shady canopy.  The en-suite chalets are cosy and comfortable with mozzie nets covering the beds which are decked with crisp white linen.

There is a range of activities offered here with riding being at the fore. They cater for all levels of rider.  But if you prefer you can enjoy a sundowner drive, guided nature walks or guided excursions in the park.
