Damchen Resort

Open: Damchen Resort is open all year.

Location:; Damchen Resort is located on the banks of the Punachu River within walking distance of the town of Punakha. It is set in attractive gardens.

Rooms: The 35 guest rooms are spacious and equipped with modern amenities, such as TV, phone, safe, minibar and tea and coffee makers. All have en-suite bathrooms. The standard rooms are quite small, but the river-facing rooms are larger and some have private balconies.

Activities: Visiting the famous dzong of Punakha, exploring the Punakha Valley and local villages. At the hotel guests can stroll along the riverbank and in the garden.

Facilities: The hotel restaurant serves Bhutanese, Chinese, Indian and continental dishes. Meals can also be eaten in the open-sided canopy terrace. The bar offers a good selection of Bhutanese and imported drinks. Picnics and parties can be arranged in the garden by the river. There is a conference hall and a business centre. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day.

Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables in the restaurant, in the canopy or garden.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. ;

Health: We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to the low lying districts of southern Bhutan.

Communication: There is wifi internet access in guest rooms and the business centre.
