Open: Cumbres Puerto Varas is open all year.

Location: The hotel has an elevated position on the shore of Lake Llanquihue in the Lake District. It is a 20 minute drive from the town of Puerto Varas. The nearest airport is Puerto Montt, about an hour away.

Rooms: There are 90 guest rooms made up of standard, superior, luxury rooms, suites and a presidential suite.  All have a floor to ceiling window overlooking the lake (though standard rooms only have a partial view), TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, minibar, air conditioning, safe and en-suite bathroom. Some of the luxury rooms have a terrace overlooking the lake and the suites enjoy the addition of a jacuzzi

Activities: The hotel's guides offer a range of excursions and activities to choose from. These range from full day tours to ones taking just a few hours. Trips include a boat trip across the Chacao channel, hiking in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park or cultural visits to local communities and trips to archaeological sites. These can be booked and paid for locally if you wish.

Facilities: Cumbres del Lago is the hotel restaurant (see below), Araucaria Bar, cosy lounge, The hotel spa comprises an small indoor heated pool and a spa treatment room.

Dining:  The hotel restaurant has an excellent reputation for serving quality dishes using local produce. Monday to Saturday is a la carte with a variety of meats and seafood dishes on offer, Sunday is a delicious buffet affair with an array of local and international dishes on offer.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome, but there are no specific facilities or activities for children.

Health: There is no malaria in Chile.

Communication: There is complimentary wifi internet access in guest rooms.
