Open: Colca Lodge is open all year.

Location:  Colca Lodge is located in the Colca Valley in southern Peru. It is at an altitude of 3.250 metres. The lodge is about 3 hours drive (165kms) from Arequipa, the nearest airport.  

Rooms:  There are 45 guest rooms built around the courtyards and gardens with views of the valley. Rooms are rustic in style. They have small, en-suite bathrooms. There are 19 double and 17 larger rooms taking 3 or 4 people. There are 3 suites, 1 designed for families, 1 double and 1 with panoramic views. The hotel also has 6 adobe suites. All rooms have heating, hot water, mini bar, safe and a terrace, but no TVs. Hot water bottles are put in the beds at night which are always very welcome on cold nights. 

Activities:  Exploring the Colca Valley, trekking, horse riding, guided trekking in Colca Canyon, watching Andean condors, visiting the pre-Inca ruins at Uyo Uyo and local villages. Guests can hire mountain bikes for independent exploration. Some excursions need to be paid for locally. At the lodge guests can indulge in spa treatments, bathe in the thermal springs by the river and relax in the gardens.

Facilities:  The restaurant and bar offer a wide choice of meals and drinks. There are 3 hot baths by the river, each with water a different temperature. The 4th pool contains cold water for a more bracing experience. There are separate changing rooms for men and women by the baths. The Eco-spa offers massages, body treatments, facials, Jacuzzis and saunas. There are pretty gardens.  

Dining:  Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health:  Colca Valley is not a malarial area.

Communication: Wi-Fi in rooms and public areas

Notes:   The thermal baths may be closed on some days in February when the river swells due to the rains. In this case guests can use the thermal pool in the spa.
