Chobe Under Canvas lets you experience the African bush at first hand. The sounds of wildlife permeate your tent as you awake each morning and again as you fall asleep at night. From dawn to dusk you're immersed in nature. With just five tents you'll soon get to know your fellow guests as well as the staff and your guide. Spend days out on game drives in search of Chobe's famous elephant herds and other wildlife, and enjoy boat cruises which allow you to witness animals and birds at close proximity.

The camp is a mobile one and usually changes its location every five to six days, switching between different private campsites in the Chobe Riverfont area. All sites offer seclusion and are unfenced and it's not unusual to see the tracks of animals around camp when you rise in the morning. Tents are roomy, with full size beds, gauze windows and en suite facilities consisitng of a flush toilet, water and a bowl for washing and a bucket shower with hot water provided on request. You also have a small shaded veranda where you can rest between safaris.

Staff are friendly and professional. You'll be amazed at the standards of food the chef creates, from the full spread of breakfast complete with omelettes and freshly baked bread, to a hearty and declicious dinner cooked over the open fire. The camp has a communal tent where meals and drinks are served and a sitting area with a collection of reference books. Evenings conclude by the fire as you sip a nightcap, relive the day's highlights and anticipate the thrills to come tomorrow.
