Open: Open all year.

Location: It is the only permanent lodge within the national park of Chobe. It's about 10 kms from Kasane, and very accessible to Victoria Falls. It is on the banks of the Chobe River.

Rooms: There are 42 standard rooms and 4 suites. They can be configured as double or twin. For families there are 7 sets of interconnected rooms. All the rooms face the river and are set in lovely gardens with lawns and trees. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms, private terraces, aircon and fan, a fridge, safe, phone, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Activities: Excellent game viewing within Chobe National Park, both in 4x4 vehicles, and by boat (max 12 people per boat). There is a morning and an afternoon game activity, with a mid-morning boat cruise thrown in. Sunset cruises on the Chobe are also offered.

Facilities: There is a big swimming pool, a billiards bar, gym, library, beauty parlour, riverside terrace area, boardwalks close to the river, restaurants and bars (including a Moroccan bar) and a well-stocked curio shop.

Dining: The meals here are of high quality and served at individual tables. Evening dinner can take place in various locations on the property.

Children: All children are welcome, but if they are under 6 years old game drives must be taken in a private vehicle (at extra cost).

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: Mobile signal is good here, and there is WIFI available throughout the lodge.

The hotel couldn’t be faulted, just missed being in a tent! Our guide Nio was passionate about her job. Interestingly the lodge is run by women.
