Rooms: There are 15 guest chalets in two categories: river-view chalets (ten) and treetop chalets (five). River-view chalets include a family room with two bedrooms sleeping two adults and two children and a shared bathroom, and a honeymoon suite with a lounge, bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning and a large deck with daybed. The others can be arranged as twins or doubles. All have a ceiling fan, mosquito nets, power points, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and an additional outdoor shower and a shaded terrace. Each of the treetop chalets is reached by a flight of steps and is about three metres above the ground. These chalets have the same facilities as the river view ones, plus air conditioning and views of the tree canopy rather than the river.

Activities: Wildlife watching from river cruise boat and game drives are the main activities. You can also go on fishing trips, visit the local village on foot or by bicycle with a guide from the lodge, enjoy a sundowner cruise and do some birdwatching while relaxing at the lodge. Staff can arrange a shared day trip to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe).

Facilities: The lodge has a lounge-bar with a supply of reference and reading books, a deck with a boma dining area and a campfire, a small swimming pool with a sundeck and an elevated, shaded viewing deck. There are cruiser bikes and helmets free for guests to use.

Dining: Meals are usually eaten on the deck as a group or at individual tables. Private meals can be arranged.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Families with children under 11 years need to book private activities.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews

Very friendly staff who performed a traditional Boma evening on our final night inspite of the thunderstorm. The guide was excellent, finding lions and a hyena and very knowledgeable. We felt we could have easily stayed another couple of nights as there were several other things we could do, but alas we only had 2 nights here.
