Open:  Early May to December. The exact dates can vary from year to year - please ask for details. 

Location:  Overlooking an oxbow lagoon and the Chindeni Hills, in the remote southern part of South Luangwa National Park. The nearest airport is Mfuwe, a 3-4 hour game viewing drive away. 

Rooms:  4 luxury, spacious tents, consisting of 2 twins (with 2 queen size beds each) and 2 doubles, each with a king size bed. All are en-suite with a toilet, hand basin, shower, hot and cold running water and with a supply of toiletries. 

Activities:   Day and night game drives, guided walking safaris and birdwatching. Yoga and photographic vehicles will be offered starting 2020. 

Facilities:  There is stunning lounge, dining and bar area overlooking the Luangwa River and Chindeni Hills. The camp operates on solar power and there are limited battery charging facilities. There is a free laundry service. 

Dining:  Meals are served communally on the main deck or in the dining room, sitting at one long table.  

Children:  The camp accepts children 12 years of age and over. 12 years is the minimum age for walking safaris in the national park. As the camp is unfenced, children need to be supervised at all times.

Health: This is a malarial area. 

Communication: There is no mobile reception, no direct phone or fax and no internet. Communication is maintained with the main Mfuwe Lodge by radio.
