Chindeni Camp is situated by a permanent oxbow lagoon, in sight of the magnificent Nchendeni Hills in the Luangwa Valley. The camp enjoys a secluded position and offers a quite and relaxing stay.
Raised on wooden decking Chindeni's four en-suite tented chalets are sheltered by a shady ebony grove. Each chalet has its own private veranda equipped with hammocks, from which guests can enjoy views of the resident game and lagoon. Each tent has 2 queen-size beds, hot and cold running water, shower and toilet.
The bar and dining area are also surrounded by ebony trrees. An adjacent walkway provides access to a lagoon-side retreat. From here, guests can enjoy an open-air dining experience, or the spectacular sunset as it reflects from the still waters of the lagoon. The seclusion of your stay and the abundant wildlife combine to make a stay at this camp an experience not to be missed.
On the walking safaris the guides will introduce you to the delights of the big five and also to the more complex and fascinating details of wildlife activity and habitat 'on the ground'. They will also provide insight into how to track spoor, to listen for warning sounds of predators approaching and to know and distinguish medicinal plants. Day and night game drives are also offered from the camp.
Note: For the 2020 season photographic vehicles will be introduced, and yoga be offered (subject to instructor availability).
