This unusual hotel is located 30 minutes from Lusaka airport in the Chaminuka Nature Reserve and is the private residence of the Sardanis family. The main ex-private residence sits on top of a hill with fantastic views. This large building has many rooms where you can relax including three libraries, several sitting areas and an outside deck. You'll have a choice of recreational activities from snooker to tennis. There's an outdoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Throughout the house and gardens there are fine examples of contemporary African artworks.  

Meals are buffet style, with lots of dishes to choose from, and you can eat indoors or out on the deck by the pool. The cuisine reflects a broad range of influences including Mediterranean and Oriental. There are regular braais (barbecues) here, which are sociable affairs. The deck is also a great place to sit and enjoy a sundowner.   

There are 30 air-conditioned suites furnished in a fusion of traditional African and modern styles. They are equipped with TV, internet access, minibars and safes and have sliding glass doors leading into a private balcony. There are also four spacious villas with 15 rooms between them and each with its own lounge and dining area.

Activities such as game drives, guided walks, bird watching, village visits, horse riding and fishing on lake Chitoka (seasonal) are included in your stay. You can also take part in the Chaminuka cheetah experience, for close-up views of these beautiful animals, and to witness them running at full speed - an awe-inspiring sight. An extra charge applies for this that can be paid locally.
