Location: The hotel is in Barranco, a fashionable district of Lima. It is about a 40 minute drive from the international airport.

Rooms: All 22 rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, and are arranged in the original house and in a new wing behind. In room facilities comprise TV, phone, safe, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi. There are five categories of room: republica suite (4 rooms each 30sqm), republica superior (3, each 35sqm), republica classic (1 room at 17sqm), garden suite (2, each 43sqm) and garden superior (12, all 24sqm). All are en-suite with a range of toiletries supplied. Suites also come with dressing gowns and slippers. Some have city views and others look out over the gardens. The hotel provides round the clock room service.

Activities: Explore the neighbourhood on foot and by bike, using one of the hotel’s bicycles, free of charge. Shopping. You can also visit sites in other areas of the city. The concierge can assist with travel arrangements.

Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant (see below) and lounge-cum-library plus additional seating in the lobby. The rooftop bar offers fine views over the city and is open on certain evenings of the week. There is a courtyard garden. Reception is open 24 hours a day. The hotel provides a laundry service (pay locally).

Dining: The restaurant is open for breakfast every day.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: Lima is not a malarial area.
