This is a welcoming resort-style hotel on a long, sandy beach flanked by a large lagoon. It is near the town of Ouidah, considered one of the capitals of African voodoo, which has an impressive Portuguese fort as well as a high concentration of temples.  
Accommodation is in bungalows with private verandas looking out towards either the ocean or the lagoon. They are simply furnished and have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. Rooms are cooled by air conditioning and ceiling fans.
The restaurant serves creative, refined meals using fresh local produce including seafood, and has a large, covered outdoor eating area. There is a selection of wines to compliment your food. The two bars offer a wide choice of drinks. One of these is set in the centre of the lagoon, reached by a walkway.
The hotel has three swimming pools, including one for children, tennis, badminton, beach volleyball and football facilities or you can opt for a gentle game of petanque. There's an indoor games room, too. Staff can arrange boat trips on the lagoon and to local villages or you can explore independently by canoe. The hotel has a secluded spa where you can unwind and enjoy a range of treatments.
