This handsome townhouse was built as a private residence in 1927 and is now an upmarket boutique hotel in the bohemian Lastarria district of Santiago. The elegant facade is matched by stylish interiors which incorporate original features such as large windows, polished parquet floors and marble staircases, and are enhanced by tasteful decor.

The 14 rooms are spread over 4 floors and are a fusion of classic style and mod cons, so you have air conditioning, cable TV, complimentary wifi, minibar, iPod dock and a contemporary bathroom as well as period furniture. If you plump for one of the junior suites you'll also have a balcony, and there are connecting suites that are ideal for families.

During your stay you can stroll around the local neighbourhood with its chic restaurants, bars and shops, and hop on the metro to explore downtown Santiago and other parts of the city. Staff can help with arranging city tours, museum visits and theatre tickets as well as excursions further afield such as to wine estates.

There is a pretty garden which includes a sheltered terrace and a swimming pool, a major plus for a city hotel. The restaurant serves a good range of dishes in refined surroundings, and there's an attractive dining terrace. It is open to the public for lunch and dinner, so booking is advisable, although there are plenty of alternative eateries in the vicinity.

Client Rating for Chile 5/5 from 3 reviews

For a night or two in Santiago, this small boutique hotel has a great position between the Bellavista and Lastarria areas which are both excellent for restaurants, cafes and bars.  The rooms are good, with very comfy beds, nice decor, and good touches such as robes, slippers and toiletries. We loved the free afternoon tea, and though we didn’t use the swimming pool it would be good to have if you are here in summer. Friendly staff add to the good atmosphere here.
