Open: Cape Grace Hotel is open all year. It first opened in 1996.
Location: The hotel is on the well-known Victoria and Alfred Waterfront development in Cape Town, overlooking the marina, where it has its own private quay. It is 21kms from the airport, a drive of around 20-45 minutes, depending on volume of traffic.
Rooms: There are 120 rooms, including 13 suites. There are several categories of room: superior (50sqm plus balcony 8.5sqm), luxury (45sqm), Table Mountain luxury (45sqm), rooftop luxury (35sqm plus terrace 3.5sqm), rooftop terrace (35sqm plus terrace 10sqm), as well as 1 (90sqm plus terrace 28.5sqm), 2 (150sqm plus terrace 13sqm) and 3 (200qm plus terrace 28.5sqm) bedroom suites, and 2 penthouse suites (80sqm plus terrace 45sqm). All have air conditioning, TV, minibar, tea and coffee maker, iPod docks, safe and en-suite bathroom. Suites have lounge and dining areas, CD and DVD players. Each penthouse suites has a rooftop terrace with a dining area and a Jacuzzi. There is 24 hour room service.
Activities: Visit the many shops, restaurants and entertainment centres of the V&A Waterfront, go sightseeing in the city. Reception staff can arrange various excursions in and around the city.
Facilities: The award-winning (Amex Platinum Fine Dining Award 2015) Signal Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Afternoon tea is available between 12:00hrs and 18:00hrs each day in the library. You can relax over a drink and chat to guests in the cosy Bascule Lounge or outside on the bar terrace, where you can eat snacks and light meals. There is a fitness centre with a rage of equipment and personal trainers available. Private pilates sessions can be arranged. The spa offers massages, specialised well-being therapies and beauty treatments. It has a sauna, steam room, sun deck and relaxation room. There is a 15-metre outdoor heated swimming pool and terrace. There is a concierge service. The hotel offers secure parking. The hotel offers a luxury chauffeur transfer service with a 10km radius, subject to availability. Local and international newspapers are available each day.
Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables in the restaurant. Private meals can be arranged if staying in a suite.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Babysitting can be arranged on request. There is a children’s menu. Luxury (except rooftop rooms) and superior rooms can sleep 2 adults and 1 child, and there are some interconnecting rooms. Suites make good family accommodation.
Health: This is not a malarial area.
Communication: There is limited free Wi-Fi internet access in all rooms and public areas.
