Open: Camp Okuti is open all year.

Camp Okuti is on the banks of Xakanaxa Lagoon in Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. The camp is about a 20 minute drive from Xakanaxa airstrip.

Rooms: There are 5 twin-bed rooms or mosasa, (a tribal word meaning house of reeds), providing spacious accommodation. Each has a private bathroom, with hot and cold running water, flush toilet and indoor and outdoor shower. There are also 2 large family units with 2 bedrooms. All rooms are set on raised decks and face the river. The maximum guest capacity is 18.

Activities: You can go for 4x4 game drives and motorboat rides on Xakanaxa Lagoon year round. The camp offers seasonal (September-December) boat trips to Gadikwe Heronry. Bird watching is good all year.

Facilities: The main area houses the reception, lounge and dining room, with ample comfy seating local carvings. There are reference books and board games. These rooms are set in large rondavel-style buildings, partially open for views of the lagoon. There’s an outside deck with a plunge pool, and on another deck you’ll find a viewing scope and the camp fire.

Dining: Meals are eaten communally as a group, in the dining room and on the deck.

Children: Children aged 7 years and over are welcome. Younger children may be accepted in low season on request. There are 2 family rooms.

Health: This is a malarial area.

There is no mobile reception or internet access. The camp communicates with head office in Maun via radio.
