Sanctuary Baines' Lodge offers high-quality accommodation in a tranquil setting in the Okavango Delta bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is named after the famous 19th-century explorer and artist Thomas Baines.
There are just six suites here, making this Sanctuary's smallest camp. Each suite stands on raised platforms. From your deck you have views over the Boro River and a lagoon teeming with wildlife and after dark, you can enjoy some great stargazing. Each bedroom is decorated with draped fabrics and has a four-poster bed which adds to the romatic feel. The deck also has a bathtub, forming a star bath. Inside the room, there is a ceiling fan, minibar and safe as well as an ensuite bathroom.
The main area has a large open deck where meals can be taken while enjoying views of the lagoon. There is a swimming pool. ideal for a cooling dip.
Activities include mokoro and motorised boat safaris and guided walking safaris as well as game drives.

EnquireMore reviewsThere were only 6 thatched lodges here and so the service was very personal. We enjoyed a trip in a mokoro canoe the first night, a boat trip to the hippo pool straight from the jetty at the lodge and amazing day and night drives seeing a spotted hyena, leopard and elephants at close range. The roads were more like rivers and you got thrown about a bit but it all added to the atmosphere especially when you had water monitors swimming alongside the vehicle.
