Awasi Atacama is an exclusive hotel providing private guided excursions to allow guests to explore the Atacama Desert as and when they wish. Great care has been taken in the design and construction of the lodge, which has attractive open air social areas where you can rest between trips.

Rooms and suites are made from traditional local materials such as adobe, wood, stone and thatch, keeping interiors cool during the day and warm in chilly evenings and mornings. As well as an en-suite bathroom, you have an indoor sitting area and a terrace where you can relax. The rustic style is complimented by rich fabric throws and cushions.

You have your own guide for the duration of your stay, and together you plan how you spend your time. There's a choice of half day and full day trips, and a wide range of activities to choose between including walks, treks, bike, horse and 4x4 rides in the desert as you explore geysers, valleys, canyons, salt flats, lagoons, archaeological sites and villages, see flamingos, foxes, wild donkeys and vicunas. All activities are tailored to your wishes and fitness levels.

You are welcome to spend as much time at the lodge as you like, making yourself at home (awasi means home) as you relax by the pool and chat to other guests in the open air lounge. Meal times are a highlight, as you enjoy the exquisite cuisine created by the chef and his team using local ingredients, and meals can be adapted to your own needs. This personal approach is key to the Awasi experience, and is evident throughout your stay.
