South Africa

  • Auberge Bligny

This property located in Franschhoek, has a long history starting 300 years ago in a place in France called Bligny. This 1860 Victorian homestead has been converted into a guest house over a decade ago and is owner managed. The décor reflects the past times of the early settlers and is situated within easy reach of local restaurants and wine farms. Hearty breakfasts are served here - in winter round the fireplace and in summer on the terrace overlooking the pool and mountains.

The guest house has nine en-suite rooms; all with a private entrance, there is also a luxury loft room, connecting family rooms and wheelchair access.

Lots of local activities are available. As well as wine cellar tours, there are walking trails, bikes for hire, horse riding and several great restaurants just 3 minutes walk from the guest house (advance booking recommended, Auberge Bligny can do this for you.
