Aria Amazon was built in 2010, designed by the Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, and refreshed in 2015. She offers the height of luxury on the Amazon river and is the flagship for Aqua Expeditions. With a passenger to crew ration of 1:1, you will be well looked after. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the Amazon River, its wildlife and people.

The 16 large suites provide faultless accommodation. They have been designed to a high specification and boast a separate seating area and a well-equipped bathroom with complimentary organic toiletries. All suites have huge floor-to-ceiling picture windows so you can enjoy fantastic views of the river from the comfort of your own room. Rooms are fully air conditioned. 

There is ample space in which to relax, both indoors and outdoors, with an indoor lounge/bar and a spacious observation deck complete with jacuzzi. Sitting in the jacuzzi while watching the changing Amazon scenery and village life is an unforgettable experience. The 4 resident naturalist guides give presentations relating to the wildlife seen or activities enjoyed that day.

Aria Amazon has an excellent - and well-deserved - reputation for its five-star Peruvian cuisine, created by Aqua Expedition's executive chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. It utilises many ingredients found only in the Amazon jungle. Meals are served in the dining room with its panoramic windows and the menus change daily. There is a fine selection of wines to accompany meals while the bar serves a wide range of alcholic and soft drinks.

For those wanting to burn off a few pounds there is an exercise room, and relaxation is offered in the form of massages in the dedicated top deck treatment room. Retail therapy is offered by the boutique which sells Peruvian craftwork, jewellery and souvenirs.

Aria has four motor launches in which guests can explore the river system, plus kayaks, to supplement jungle walks. The expert English-speaking naturalist guides are on hand to accompany guests on excursions on the river and in the vast Pacaya Samiria Reserve with its abundant land and marine life, including the pink Amazon dolphin, black caiman and three-toed sloth.
