The Archipell I catamaran was built in 2003 and has since been extensively refurbished. There are 8 large cabins on the main deck, a mix of twins and doubles, all with picture windows that admit lots of light and let you enjoy views of the ocean and islands. Every cabin has a private shower room and air conditioning.
 
The main deck also houses the lounge with TV, DVD player and selection of reference book, the dining room and bar which leads out to an exterior terrace. The upper deck has shaded space for relaxing and dining, as well as a sundeck where you can top up you tan as you cruise between the islands in comfort.
 
During your cruise you are offered twice daily excursions to explore the flora and fauna of the Galapagos, led by a knowledgeable naturalist guide. In addition, the catamaran carries snorkelling equipment and sea kayaks, to enhance your Galapagos experience.

I cannot fault anything with Archipel I - fantastic itinerary, superb crew, wonderful (and plentiful) food, excellent guide. Cabins were fairly small but with adequate space for luggage, clothing etc. and the only time we spent in the cabin was to sleep and shower. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this boat for anyone visiting the Galapagos and would very happily get on the next flight to Baltra to sail on her again!
