Open: Amankora Thimphu is open all year.
Location: Amankora Thimphu is located in the upper reaches of the Motihang area of the Thimpu Valley, a 2 hour drive from Paro. It is at an elevation of 2,350 metres and is surrounded by richly forested mountains.
Rooms: There are 16 suites, all with a combined lounge and bedroom plus a large bathroom. Suites also feature a wood-burning stove, perfect for cooler days.
Activities: Guests can visit the shops, markets and museums of Thimphu town, walk from the lodge to Cheri Goemba and enjoy walks in the valley. There is a golf course in Thimphu and Amankora can arrange tee times.
Facilities: The lodge has a combined living and dining room and an outdoor deck. The spa offers a range of treatments (pay locally) and includes a steam room.
Dining: Meals are taken at communal tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Health: We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to the low lying districts of southern Bhutan only.
Communication: There is no internet access at Amankora Thimphu.
