Location: Amankora Bumthang is located in the town of Jakar in the Choekhor Valley, one of the four valleys that comprise the Bumthang area, collectively known as the Bumthang Valley. It is a 10 hour drive from Paro.

Rooms: There are 16 suites, located in four blocks, all with a combined lounge and bedroom plus a large bathroom. Suites also feature a wood-burning stove, perfect for cooler days.

Activities: This is a fertile area producing vegetables, fruits, butter, cheese, honey, spirits and brandies and guests can visit local organic farms and cottage industries. Wangdichholing Palace borders the lodge and is worth a visit. There are many temples, monasteries and art studios that can be visited in the neighbourhood.

Health: We recommend malarial prophylactics for travel to the low lying districts of southern Bhutan.
