Open: Altiplanico San Pedro de Atacama is open all year.

Location: The hotel is tucked away on its own stretch of land, just on the outskirts of San Pedro de Atacama. The closest airport is Calama, about 100kms and a 90 minute drive away.

Rooms: Altiplanico San Pedro de Atacama has 29 rooms each one different from the next. They are arranged in three semicircles with cultivated fields separating each cluster. There are singles, doubles, triples and family rooms each with WiFi, en-suite and individual terraces. Some of the rooms have outside showers, allowing you to enjoy the night sky even while you are showering. The walls and floors of the rooms are natural shades of earth tones giving a fresh and cosy feel. This is off set with brighter local fabrics used in the soft furnishings. To keep the rooms cool from the heat of the sun during the day and insulated from the cold at night, the windows are small and the walls are thick. 

Activities: The hotel an arrange many activities and sightseeing tours for you if you wish. There is plenty to see and do in the Atacama Desert; from salt flats to geysers, lagoons to Death Valley. Horse riding, bike riding, hiking and trekking are various ways to enjoy this unique area and explore the flora and fauna.

Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool (this is closed during the winter months), laundry service, Wi-Fi in rooms and common areas.

Dining: The bar has happy hour and music every day. The restaurant serves a mixture of Chilean, Peruvian food with inspiration from the Atacama desert thrown in. Meals are often served with quinoa, purple potatoes, scallops, and Indian corn.

Children: Children are welcome.

Health: Be aware of the effects of altitude when visiting here.
