Somalisa Camp, whuch was refurbished in 2016, offers a touch of luxury in a beautiful bush setting. It consists of seven safari tents and attractive communal areas nestled under a grove of acacia trees.
The whole camp has recently been re-built and upgraded to offer visitors endless luxuries and comforts on the eastern side of Hwange National Park. The seven elegantly furnished sail tents at Somalisa Camp are spacious and luxuriously appointed. The en-suite bathrooms each have an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a stylish copper bath to soak in after a guided trek across the floodplain. In each tent there is a log burner in the relaxed seating area to warm you on chilly evenings and gauze sliding doors tha open out onto a private shaded deck where you can relax and enjoy the view.
The communal area is just as luxurious with split level decking dividing the main dining, lounge and bar areas. There is also a splash pool and sun deck overlooking the waterhole where herds of local game gather to drink.
Somalisa is well known for its abundance of wildlife and morning and afternoon game drives and walking safaris are led by extremely knowledgeable guides allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the safari experience.
Somalisa Camp is adjacent to its sister camp, Somalisa Acacia, a 4-tent camp which is designed to accommodate families.
