AZambezi River Lodge

Victoria Falls

Rating: Mid-range

AZambezi River Lodge overview

A'Zambezi River Lodge has a superb setting on the banks of the Zambezi River. It's just 25kms from Victoria Falls airport, so is easy to reach, and once there you'll have access to wealth of activities and can spend time enjoying the on-site facilities. These include sweeping lawns which lead down to the private jetty, tropical gardens, a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.

There are 87 rooms, all air conditioned and en-suite. They are well equipped, as you'd expect of a hotel of this quality, with satellite TV, direct dial phone, tea and coffee maker and minibar. Each room has a balcony looking out over the gardens or the pool and river.

No doubt your days will be filled with visits to the famous Victoria Falls where you can get close-up views of this natural wonder, trips into the national park and, for the more daring, white water rafting and bungee jumping! Between times you'll be able to kick back and doze by the pool in the sun or shade as you prefer, enjoy fine food and mix with fellow guests. The hotel has a gift shop, ideal for stocking up on presents for those back home as well as personal souvenirs.

Mr. Peter Deer

"Nicely positioned on the Zambezi river. We were there 2 nights and what with doing a tour of the falls, a helicopter ride and a sundown cruise, we did not have time to use the free shuttle into town. Made a good start to the holiday. Bar a little on the expensive side."

Mr. Richard Clements
"For the independent traveller the hotel shuttle was very useful to get down to the falls."
Mrs. Tracy Heazel
"Great views and very handy to see all the sights we wanted to see in Victoria Falls"
