A'Zambezi River Lodge has a superb setting on the banks of the Zambezi River. It's just 25kms from Victoria Falls airport, so is easy to reach, and once there you'll have access to wealth of activities and can spend time enjoying the on-site facilities. These include sweeping lawns which lead down to the private jetty, tropical gardens, a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.
There are 87 rooms, all air conditioned and en-suite. They are well equipped, as you'd expect of a hotel of this quality, with satellite TV, direct dial phone, tea and coffee maker and minibar. Each room has a balcony looking out over the gardens or the pool and river.
No doubt your days will be filled with visits to the famous Victoria Falls where you can get close-up views of this natural wonder, trips into the national park and, for the more daring, white water rafting and bungee jumping! Between times you'll be able to kick back and doze by the pool in the sun or shade as you prefer, enjoy fine food and mix with fellow guests. The hotel has a gift shop, ideal for stocking up on presents for those back home as well as personal souvenirs.

Location: A’Zambezi River Lodge is set in large grounds leading down the Zambezi River. It is the only hotel with a river frontage and private jetty in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). The falls are 5kms away and Victoria Falls airport is some 25kms from the hotel.
Rooms: There are 87 rooms in total, comprising 83 standard rooms and 4 suites. 2 of the rooms are specially adapted for wheelchair users. All rooms benefit from air conditioning with individual control, TV, phone, minibar, tea and coffee maker, hairdryer, mosquito net and insect repellent. They all have en-suite bathrooms and balconies with views of the river or the gardens.
Activities: There is a huge choice of activities. These include guided tours of Victoria Falls, boat cruises on the Zambezi River, game drives and walks in the national park, canoe trips, visits to Victoria Falls town and scenic flights over the falls. Not for the faint-hearted but very popular are white water rafting and bungee jumping. There is also a chance to play golf nearby. At the hotel you can enjoy a swim in the pool and take a leisurely stroll through the tropical gardens. These activities can be booked and paid for locally.
Facilities: The lodge has an award-winning restaurant with a large shaded terrace looking out over the river. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a true sense of Africa you can opt to dine in the boma, enjoying authentic African cuisine in the open air. There’s a lounge and a bar, also with a riverside terrace. The swimming pool is surrounded by a sun deck and there’s waiter service for food and drinks. Indoors you’ll find the peaceful reading room where you can unwind with a book, check up on emails and enjoy drinks and snacks. Other services include a concierge, currency exchange, laundry, gift shop and travel service desks.
Dining: Meals are served at individual tables, in the venue of your choice.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. The lodge offers a babysitting service.

0"Nicely positioned on the Zambezi river. We were there 2 nights and what with doing a tour of the falls, a helicopter ride and a sundown cruise, we did not have time to use the free shuttle into town. Made a good start to the holiday. Bar a little on the expensive side."
