Maramba River Lodge overview

Maramba River Lodge offers a good value option just 4 kms from Victoria Falls, within Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.

This lodge on the outskirts of Livingstone offers safari tents and chalets in an attractive riverfront setting.  There are 6 luxury tents, spacious and individually decorated, with en-suite tiled bathrooms and showers open to the sky. There are 9 chalets which sleep up to 4 people, so are ideal for families. These are rustic in style, with ensuite bathrooms, mosquito proofing and ceiling fans. All have views of either the Maramba River or the waterhole. For the more budget conscious there are smaller safari tents, also with ensuite facilities.
The lodge is set on a bluff overlooking the Maramba River and enjoys a shaded woodland setting. The camp's resident wildlife includes elephants, who wander through the grounds at certain times of year.
The Activity Centre can arrange a wide range of excursions and activities in Livingstone and at Victoria Falls. There is a curio shop selling local crafts, books and maps. When not visiting Livingstone or the falls, guests can relax in the grounds and take a refreshing dip in the natural rock pool.

Mr. Simon Mortimer

"Maramba River Lodge was great, the staff were lovely, very helpful and professional. We only had one bit of a problem when the helicopter flight we had booked got cancelled and we were not informed, however the ever helpful receptionist did rearrange it for us. The setting of the Lodge is just beautiful, to sit at the bar by the river with an ice cold bottle of Mosi beer or a gin and tonic was just breath-taking, with a view of baboons and crocodiles. One night after the evening meal the waitress informed us that a hippo was grazing just outside the restaurant, and there it was - amazing! Most of the food was really nice but a couple of the meals were just average. The setting couldn't be faulted though. The accommodation was excellent."

Mr. Paul Coleman
"The Managers were most helpful. Staff friendly. Good accommodation. Only let down was the food in the restaurant - Ok but not great, was expecting better quality. But the location of the Lodge being next to the river made up for it! Excellent location to the Vic Falls. We would stay here again! "
Ken Mylne
"Only one night here at the end. Very nice comfortable final night after the camping with beautiful views over the Maramba River."
Mr Andy Smith
"A lovely lodge to end the camping, we were tired and hot by that time, so lodge tents, showers and a bar were very welcome. A very good dinner, and breakfast."
Mr. Ben Harvey (06/09/2018)
"Definite needed after a week of camping. Rooms was basic but all we needed. The location perfect as it is so close to the Victoria falls. The pool was nice and refreshing. Stunning views of hippos throughout the day. Massages were amazing. Overall very pleased."
