Avani Victoria Falls is perfect for families and couples alike. It occupies a wonderful spot just 5 minutes from the iconic Victoria Falls. From here you can embark on a wildlife adventure, visit a traditional Zambian village for a slice of everyday local life or you can unleash your wild side on any number of adrenalin filled activities from white water rafting to bungee jumping or even a helicopter flight over the falls. The choice is yours to be as busy or as relaxed as you wish, the beautiful gardens and the refreshing pool offer a peaceful alternative for those just wanting to wind down.
The resort is newly refurbished in a contemporary style with warm earthy tones reflecting the African heritage of the area. There are 212 colourful rooms and suites with views of the gardens and pool area or the lush African bush. Those on the first floor have their own private balcony while the ground floor rooms open onto the gardens and bush. There are standard and superior rooms, family rooms and suites to boot. The main difference between the categories are the extra amenities offered for the higher grade rooms, such as a dining area in the suites, express check-in and sparkling wine for the Superior rooms, but one thing common to all categories is the exceptionally efficient and friendly service.
Dining at Avani is always enjoyable with a choice of venues. Casual dining of both African and international fare is available at the Theatre of Food, if you want an African themed night, opt for dinner under the stars at the Boma. Light meals and snacks, along with ice-cold drinks can be found at the poolside bar, so you don't have to venture far to satisfy your hunger cravings. Teddy's Restaurant and Bar is a new addition serving drinks and light bites.
