Gorilla Forest Camp is a permanent luxury tented camp nestled in the mist-swathed rainforests of a mountainside next to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is on the outskirts of Buhoma village, very close to the Bwindi Forest HQ from where gorilla treks into the forest begin.
Gorilla Forest Camp has been designed to blend into the environment. Accommodation is in 8 double tents, raised on wooden platforms, each with a spacious stone-walled en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water. Each tent has a spacious wooden veranda where guests can relax, enjoy a private meal and absorb the exotic mystery of the surrounding rainforest. Inside they are a blend of contemporary and classic decor, with crisp white linen, fabrics in neutral shades and a mosquite net draped over the bed. The Gorilla Forest Camp offers a bar and dining cottage overlooking the rainforest, as well as a raised natural platform for open-air dining.
Its elevated position means that it's quite a hike to get up to the camp (a lot of steep steps), but if you want a top quality place to stay in Buhoma, this should be one of your top choices.

"A real sanctuary in the Bwindi Forest, this is a fantastic location and the staff were brilliant. They made us so welcome and anticipated everything we would need to be able to experience and enjoy the two treks we achieved. The food was perfect and ice cold beers at the end of the treks was SO WELCOME! We would certainly recommend this wonderful lodge"
