This is a luxury seasonal safari camp ideally positioned for the best game viewing in the Serengeti. The camp actually moves every couple of weeks to be in the best place, but not when guests are staying there! The camp is run by Nomad Tanzania Safaris and has excellent guiding and hosting standards.
The camp has just 12 beds so offers an exclusive game viewing experience with professional guides. The tents are large with a dressing room area which seperates the bedroom from the en-suite bathroom.
There is a library and lounge tent and dining tent, though eating al fresco is often the case.
Location of the camp is roughly as follows:
December to April: the camp is on the southern Serengeti Plains with access to the main herds as they calve through February. Birding is excellent during this time, as is general game viewing.
May to Early July: the camps moves to the Moru Kopjes area, central Serengeti Plains, and to the Western Corridor as the mass of the migration moves west and north. The migration patterns can be unpredictable at this time of year, but the wildebeest rut (May) and the crossing of the Grumeti River (June/July) are spectacular if caught.
Mid-July to November: the camp moves to the quieter northern Serengeti close to either the Mara or Bologonja Rivers, offering great game viewing and crossings of either of the rivers. Towards late November the camp starts to head south again, arriving on the southern Serengeti Plains around mid-December.
"The Serengeti was wonderful, the safari camp staff were great ."
