12 days from £5735pp plus international flights.
This is your chance to witness one of the greatest natural spectacles in the world - the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle, driven by the changing climate and rainfall, in pursuit of the best grazing land.
This migration safari visits several game viewing areas to give you the best chance to see this natural phenomenon. You'll be travelling in a specially adapted 4 x 4 game drive vehicle with an experienced English-speaking driver guide. You will visit some of the best game viewing parks including Tarangire with its varied terrain and wildlife, Lake Manyara with its herds of elephants and famous tree-climbing lions, and, of course, the Serengeti. You are assured a memorable safari with many highlights along the way.
After your safari experience, you'll be whisked away to the small tropical island paradise of Mafia for several days of total rest and relaxation. Your lodge is located on one of the island's most beautiful bays, which is sheltered by a coral reef, and offers superb diving and snorkelling, as well as trips to secluded beaches and neighbouring islands. This is the perfect way to conclude your exciting holiday in Tanzania.
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, taking a picnic lunch with you. You can either spend the morning on a mountain biking safari (about 2 hours 30 mins) and then take a game drive, or alternatively drive straight to the park for a full day's game viewing. In the late afternoon we drive you to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge on the edge of the Crater. Breakfast, lunch, dinner
We head in Ngorongoro for an exciting half-day tour of the Crater. The diversity of wildlife here is excellent, and the landscape is unique! After a picnic lunch, travel back up to the crater rim and drive to Serengeti stopping at Olduvai Gorge on the way for a brief historical visit. Enjoy a short game drive en-route to your camp. Overnight at Nasikia Moru Camp. Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Travel to northern Serengeti. This area remains fantastically quiet and un-visited, due to the relative inaccessibility, making this a great wildlife viewing venue. From July through to the end of October the Migration is resident in the area and this is one of the finest place to see the Migration's river crossings. You stay at Ubuntu Camp for the next 3 nights. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
