"A great stay, the regular presence of elephants is a highlight of this very pleasant camp."
"Wow!! This is an experience never to be repeated. The lodge is situated outside the park but don\'t think there is no game to be found nearby. We arrived to find elephant and zebra 100 yards from our door, and had 3 dik dik as regular visitors. We also spotted giraffe, water buck and a family of mongoose entertained us for half an hour playing next to our varanda.
We took a guided walk from here with a young local Massai. He shared in depth knowledge of the medical uses of the plants and made us Massai toothbrushes. We walked through zebra and wildebeest and saw giraffe in the distance. Not to be missed.
The dining room is in a separate tent and provides good meals. After dinner you can sit outside on huge sofas around a large fire under the stars before being escorted back to your tent by the attentive Massai.
To sleep here is great, who knows what has landed on your roof or what it is walking past your tent in the dead of night. We \'slept\' one night to the sound of hyena howling to one another - perfect, this is what we came for. "

"We've worked with the Kirurumu camps for many years because both their standards and their ethos are very good. They care about giving clients a very comfortable experience and great food, but they also care about improving the environments they work in and helping the communities local to their camps.
Their Tarangire lodge is indeed very comfortable, and at only about 30 minutes from the part gate, very quick to access Tarangire's wildlife. In fact, you can see the park from the lodge as it is only a stone's throw away, but there is no access point here. Wildlife doesn't know this though, so elephants, kudu and other wildlife can often be seen close to camp."

"Good location for Tarangire, good accommodation and staff, but the food was not brilliant; it was not bad, but we found other places later in the trip which did much better in similar conditions."
