Kirurumu Serengeti North and South Camp movess between two locations seasonally for the best game viewing.
From June to October it is in the northern Serengeti, on the Sonzo Private Site at Kogatende. This is an anea of savanah woodland with exceptional views of the escarpment beyond which lies the Masai Mara in Kenya. It is well positioned for migration river crossings, though these cannot be guaranteed, but if witnessed they add an extra thrill to your safari. They are dramatic scenes as thousands of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle are impelled by instinct to cross the Mara River despite the presence of crocodile and big cats. Kogatende has plentiful resident wildlife to even outside the migration there's a lot to see.
Between Deember and the end of March the camp moves to the Ndutu area in southern Serengeti. There are good chances of seeing the migration here and to observe new borns during the wildebeest calving season (mid-February to early March). Lakes attract plains game from surrounding areas and predators often seen here include lion and cheetah.
The camp offers game drives in the morning and late afternoon safaris in 4x4 vehicles with an expert guide. Between drives you'll rest in camp, sitting out the hottest part of the day as you relax in the lounge tent, leafing through a book and chatting to other guests. Meals are served in the dining tent and al fresco. Eaten together these are affable, social affairs. Each evening the fire is lit by the main tents and you gather for sundowners and snacks prior to a candle-lit dinner.
The seven tents provide spacious and comfy accommodation, with solar powered lighting, good quality bed linens, storage space and en-suite bathrooms with a flush toilet, hand basin and safari shower. Each has a private, covered terrace, ideal for relaxing between activities.

"We loved it- staff/host Godwin were amazing. It was a bit too far from the river so needed half hour each day to get started but loved it and the food was exquisite- catered for Gluten and Dairy free brilliantly"
