Kirawira Tented Camp is a luxury tented camp situated near to the Grumeti River in the Western Corridor. Perched on a hill with uninterrupted views of the plains of the Western Serengeti. Kirawira Tented Camp has 25-luxury double tents set on a wooden platform.
Kirawira is a reincarnation of a Victorian tented camp and guests enjoy luxurious accommodation, a valet service and superb wine and cuisine, which can be prepared according to guest recipes or from the house. Throughout the camp, native wood, African art and tented canvas are combined with typical Victorian and colonial furniture to recall a bygone era of explorers, pioneers and early colonial settlers. The tents are equipped with hot water showers, mini-bars and a private veranda overlooking the plains.
The Grumeti River is famed for its giant crocodiles and Kirawira Tented Camp is especially well located for the migration of wildebeest on their way back north to the Masai Mara. The lush vegetation and Kirawira is home to a wide variety of bird life and large game, including lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle and wildebeest.
There is a swimming pool, and activities include game walks and driving safaris, fishing and sailing on Lake Victoria (as an extra excursion to Mwanza) and bush lunches.
